Uncle Ed was the only true intellectual I ever knew. He made every party memorable! I'm sure he is with Mozart somewhere sharing thoughts over a snifter of cognac and a fine cigar.

Ed was without a doubt the most remarkable man I have ever known. He taught music to every being near him...even if they themselves could not play an instrument. He seemed to have what can only be considered super powers.....telepathy, mind-reading.....total recall of anything he read, including musical pieces, and the ability to inspire and wake up peolple and energies that had remained dormant...My years working under his direction were absolutely the most exciting and memorable moments of my life. I cant imagine how my life would have been without his indelible guidance and friendship. A man like this comes along very rarely to the Earth......and I will always be thankful to have known him. He also taught me unbounded knowledge of food and wine and to this day I utilize that knowledge every day of my life. So many thanks to this genious.

I am sending another thought because I do not know if the other one reached. There was an error with my computer. Here is my thought. I rehearsed and worked with Ed many years ago and when I moved back to the Cincinnati area ,after being gone for 18 years, I tried for 3 years to locate him. We had lunch, after a rehearsal(chinese food), and just got acquainted. He was the most talented man. He sat down at an B3 organ and played the best jazz music without ever having played an organ before. I am so sorry for yours and the music world's loss. I will miss his presence, also. Fern Short

I rehearsed and worked with Ed many years ago. I tried for 3 years,after moving back to the Cincinnati area, to reconnect with him but could not locate him. Loved meeting Ed and covering him for a story back in 2011. He really uplifted my spirits at a critical point in my life. I'm sure he and his music touched many people. Cincinnati is better for having had him as part of its history.

Ed’s music was his most wonderful genius expressed. A teacher to so many musicians, but also opening the path to a lot of life lessons, to see beyond the assumed, live organically, and believe in unlimited creativity and inner power. Ed taught me to eat, cook, love, explore, and be wary. His spirit was bright, his demons dark. All who lived in his presence were given some level of transformative experience to carry forward assuring his presence continues eternally.
